Learn about the Canadian Revival of 1971

In the history book I’m writing for our mission, there is a strong component relationship with the Revival that broke out in Saskatoon in October 1971 and lasted 7 weeks. It was led by the Sutera Twins from the USA. I was hunting for a good photo of them online on Saturday night, and came to a Youtube video where they told the story; Sutera Twins Interview (I found that fascinating).

Then I noticed there was one by Bill McLeod, the pastor in whose little church that Revival began. He mentioned that our tract mission had an increase of tracts published – by 300%. Wow! I had not found that figure yet in my research!Bill McLeod’s Story

Once you get to these, if the topic draws you, you will find more related videos on the right.

Our current leadership of our mission is very keen on praying for a fresh revival to break out – all over Canada. So I’ve passed these links on to our Board members. The stories they tell are so exciting that i thought I’d share them here too.

Incidentally, I was living in London, Ontario, at that time and could not be present here in my home stomping grounds. But my friends’ father came from Denmark, eager to catch this revival fire. He came to visit his daughters Gerda and Lillian in London afterward, and the three of us caught the revival in our own hearts. We met on Monday evenings for a number of years to pray for others as a result.
