My Next Cataract Surgery
The date for my next cataract surgery came in the mail on Friday. I’m gearing up for it on July 28th. I’m trying to get some publishing projects done before then, because once that right eye can see I will be able to look way over there to those tree tops, but close up work will be tricky and call for magnifying glasses until I can get a new prescription for near vision.
The next issue of the Historian is to go to the printers’ on the 26th. I think that will be on time.
The WTM/ICM history book is more tricky. I had thought I’d finish the second-last section last week, but I was on it until after 1 am last night, and still have a few pages of testimonies and letters to add yet. I’m itching to get the last section finished before the 28th. It is hard to know that for sure. (Last night, around midnight, I had this idea of adding some infographics I had created for a report and display in 2013. Great idea, but more work!)
I’m going to push myself as hard as I can. If I don’t make it, I can only visualize myself plodding on with the magnifying glasses until it is done – in August.
