New Uses for Out-dated Checkbooks
Do you have out-dated checkbooks lying around? No need to throw them out – at least not just yet.
Those vinyl folders can be useful as a place to keep little notes to yourself. To-Do lists, and such.
Old checkbooks that have your ‘old’ address, or an account you’ve closed – have a blank back (or mostly). Use that side.
I use one in the bathroom to record my weight after baths. Not meant for any other eyes, but it helps me to track changes.
Another one is by my exercise bike. There I jot down my starting time and the odometer miles, then when done a session, I record the time and the mileage again. Once more, not for other eyes, but with a rubber band holding a pen in place, I always know where to reach for it.
A third one contains my prayer lists on little cards. If I ever have to finish my intercession on the go, I can take that with me.
Yet another one, that I seem to mislay a lot, is where I scribble down ideas when they hit me out of the blue. Some day they may even make it to a To-Do List.
